Max formula in excel - returns the highest value

 An Excel's Max Formula is used to get the highest or largest number/amount from the range of data. 




Syntax:

  1. Write =Max(
  2. Select the cell range of data containing table
  3. complete ) and enter

#Excel max formula with examples:


  • Max function accepts up to 255 arguments.
  • If there is no any number in range, it return 0.
The max formula also can be used to get the largest or to find the latest date. Let's see an example here:
